If we are going to truly account for all alumni - we need to mention those who have passed. Some are casualties while we were in school and are a testament to how hard those years were. This is a tribute to those fallen brothers in our own type of war, if you will, because for a lot of people it was a war with consequences we still feel today, and apparently there were more casualties than most of us knew.

Let this not be a place of sadness, but of friendship and love; a stopping point where our hectic lives take a pause as we reflect on our human history and the paths taken by travelers who were there with us.

From Meg Fitzgerald - Deanna was killed in an airplane crash in Kerrville, Texas. It was a private plane. They were at a fair. I think the pilot was related to her husband. She was killed along with the pilot, her husband, and her infant daughter. The crash occurred sometime in the late 70s or early 80s. I don't remember exactly when. Her parents are living in San Antonio Texas in the house she and Stan had built, but never got to live in. I don't remember Stan's last name. He was working for a Cumings Diesel repair shop in San Antonio.
I had been stationed in San Antonio and had gone to the grocery store. Deanna happened to be there too. We had quite a reunion. It turned out we were living in the same neighborhood, just a few block apart. What a small world! Anyway, we hung out together until she was killed. I heard the news on the radio. The funeral was held in Kerrville.
